Palliative Care
We offer palliative care and support for people with a life-limiting illness. Our service aims to relieve pain and other symptoms whilst improving the quality of life. We work together with you and your family to design a care plan that gives you the level of support you need.
Our care staff is able to handle any situation in a compassionate manner. They can care and support you and your loved one in this highly emotional time, promoting dignity and respect. We work with community health teams to ensure that all care provided is tailored to your needs. We can also get prescriptions from your GP or arrange home visits if necessary.
Our care includes:
Domestic care – our carers can assist with household tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry and ironing. They make sure that your home is clean and comfortable to stay in.
Personal care – assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet and grooming. We ensure that you look presentable and dignified.
Pain management– our carers make sure that you receive medication on time as well as other treatments. Also, that you are comfortable.
Monitoring symptoms – we work with your healthcare team to monitor your symptoms and ensure that they are alleviated and your are able to manage.
Companionship – we provide emotional and psychological support to you and your loved ones.
Transportation – we will transport or escort you to medical appointments and run your errands such as collection of prescriptions.
End of life arrangements – our carers can support you when making end of life decisions such as funeral arrangements.
